Typical Paper Charts:
Typical patient charts are thin because most events that require surgery are single episodes. Charts often include records from the referring doctor as well as hospital notes.
Once the surgical event has concluded, there may be no further contact with the patient. |

Put PCARCHIVER to use:
Scan records of patients not seen for 3 years. A barcode version is available to partition charts. Remove and shred old records, following state guidelines. If the patient returns, print all or part of the old record and make a new active chart.
Condense thick charts by scanning and shredding older portions of the record. Scanned records can easily be shared between multiple offices. Scanning records provides backup and eliminates paper storage costs and retrieval. |
