Typical Paper Charts:
Most encounters deal with events around a particular birth and may not be needed until the next conception and delivery.
Inactive birth records must be stored for years, yet do not need to be physically in the office unless the patient becomes pregnant again. |
 |
Put PCARCHIVER to use:
Scan records of postpartum patients or those not seen for 3 years. A barcode version is available to partition charts. Remove and shred old records, following state guidelines. If the patient returns, print all or part of the old record and make a new active chart.
Condense thick charts by scanning and shredding older portions of the record. Scanned records can easily be shared between multiple offices. Scanning records provides backup and eliminates paper storage costs and retrieval. |
