Typical Paper Charts:
Most patient charts are thin as many patients had a few visits for testing or had a time limited condition, such as hives. Some of these will not be seen again for years, if ever.
Charts of patients with chronic rhinitis or asthma may be quite thick. |
 |
Put PCARCHIVER to use:
Scan records of patients not seen for 3 years. Remove and shred old records, following state guidelines. If the patient returns, print all or part of the old record and make a new active chart.
Condense thick charts by scanning and shredding older portions of the record. Scanned records can easily be shared between multiple offices. Scanning records provides backup and eliminates paper storage costs and retrieval. |
